Planning your trip: Accommodations

Well, it's somehow already less than 6 months 'til the wedding! Time really flies...

Some of you have already been in contact with me about lodging options, and I wanted to share a few details with you while you're starting to plan your trip out to beautiful California.

First off, our wedding site does have accommodations available. There are a range of options, but mostly all of the lodgings are dorm-style, meaning you would be sharing a (comfortable) room with one, two, or three other people. Rooms are available in a large house or heated, sunny cabins (with bath houses nearby). The rate is $50/night per person. I would highly recommend that you stay on site, especially since navigating the winding mountain road down to the nearest town takes 20-30 minutes, and it's not fun in the dark (just ask my mom!), not to mention after a glass of wine or two. Please note, however, that the entire site is non-smoking, so if you are uncomfortable with that you shouldn't stay on site.

If you would like to stay on-site at Pema Osel Ling, you need to reserve through us. The best way to do this is to send me an email (jessie.kostosky@gmail.com). Please note whether you are OK with mixed gender accommodations, or if you'd prefer a single-gender room.

Other lodging options (recommended by Pema Osel Ling) are:

Holiday Inn Express (Watsonville) - www.hiexpress-watsonvilleca.com
Best Western-Seacliff Inn (Aptos) - www.seacliffinn.com
Historic Sand Rock Farm B&B (Aptos) - www.sandrockfarm.com
Seascape Resort (Aptos) - www.seascaperesort.com

In addition, there are many hotels/motels in Santa Cruz, a large, lovely beach town which is about 45 minutes away from Pema Osel Ling.

Happy planning....and stay tuned for our next update which will include fun things to do in the area, like wine tasting, hiking, whale-watching, etc!
